In 2012 Bisazza launched the Bisazza Bagno division to produce collections of high-end bathroom furnishings. The newest pieces by the Japanese design studio, Nendo headed by Oki Sato, was introduced last April during Salone del Mobile in Milan. This new ensemble creates a very private and functional bathing environment by reinterpreting standard bathroom furnishings.
The materials used include brass, Christalplant and a golden-hued larch wood that is used as a connecting material for many of the pieces in the line. Pictured is a counter and sink in Christalplant that appears to float within an empty frame and a mirror with it’s surface partially removed to reveal the shape of water drops, a beautiful free-standing tub with storage units in larch wood and a wonderful horizontal sliding drawer cabinet also in larch wood.
The company expects the collection to be available in the U.S. by the beginning of 2013. To view the entire collection and read the design philosophy visit the Studio Nendo site
