All of the material from Barnwood Naturals is 100% reclaimed, salvaged and then recycled. The material is salvaged from barns and buildings within 500 miles of their facility in Salem, Oregon. All of the structures are dismantled by hand and then the buildings history is documented.
The company offers an excellent selection of woods that include red oak plank and mixed width walnut flooring, weathered and whitewashed barn wood as well as milk painted boards.
In addition they produce Charred/Burnt (shou-sugi-ban) wood siding using the ancient Japanese technique of charring wood (typically cedar) which results not only in a unique, outstanding product but one that is resistant to fire and pests.
